Psychodynamic Therapy
As a therapist, I adopt a predominantly psychodynamic and attachment-based approach in my work. In psychodynamic therapy, we work and reflect together to increase capacity for personal insight and acknowledge that which is not conscious. Together we work to discover what is difficult or painful to see in yourself. In this approach, we will seek to uncover what may be going on to evoke your symptoms, and consider how these symptoms may be powerful clues to your unconscious life. Psychodynamic therapy provides a view into unconscious patterns, unresolved conflicts, and past experiences that may be influencing your current thoughts, feelings, and relationships.
Often therapy can feel challenging, so I am welcoming, nonjudgmental, and provide a safe and supportive environment, where you can gain self-awareness and clarity about underlying issues. By understanding and working through deep-seated emotions and experiences, you can experience lasting change and personal growth. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or simply looking to understand yourself better, this approach provides meaningful, transformative results.
Schema Therapy
As part of my clinical practice, I am also able to adopt a Schema Therapy focus, a powerful and integrative approach that blends cognitive-behavioural, attachment, and experiential techniques. Schema Therapy is designed to help individuals understand and break free from deeply ingrained patterns—referred to as "schemas"—that can cause emotional pain, unhelpful behaviours, and relationship difficulties.
These schemas often develop early in life and may be triggered in our daily interactions, leading to feelings of being stuck, anxious, or overwhelmed. Through Schema Therapy, we work together to identify these patterns, understand their origins, and find healthier ways to respond. Whether you’re struggling with self-esteem, relationship challenges, or emotional regulation, this approach can provide the insight and tools needed for lasting change.
My goal is to guide you toward a deeper understanding of yourself and to help you create more fulfilling, balanced, and meaningful experiences in your life.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a highly effective, evidence-based approach that focuses on helping you understand the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. In CBT, we work together to identify unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviours that may be contributing to your emotional challenges, such as anxiety, depression, or stress.
By learning practical tools and strategies, you can gain better control over your reactions, develop healthier thinking habits, and improve your emotional well-being. CBT is structured, goal-oriented, and collaborative, meaning we’ll create a plan tailored specifically to your needs, and you’ll be actively involved in your own healing process.
