Frequently asked questions, referrals, and fees.

  • Currently, I have availability on Thursday late morning to evening.

    Opening hours are as follows:

Please reach out so that we can discuss your needs and find a regular time that works for you.

  • You do not need a referral to come to therapy, self-referrals are most welcome.

You may wish to contact your GP or psychiatrist to discuss a referral via a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP). The MHCP entitles you to a rebate from Medicare for up to ten sessions per calendar year, depending on your need.

The MHCP can be addressed to myself specifically, however this is not necessary if the referral has been unused. At the time of, or before your appointment, you will need to provide both a MHCP and a letter of referral, to enable eligibility for a Medicare rebate.

Some private health funds also offer rebates for psychological services. Please speak to your provider about this.

Currently, I can also accept referrals from other sources, including:

    • The Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA)

    • NDIS (self managed)

  • Initial and subsequent in hours session cost is $250 for a 50-minute appointment.

If you have a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP or psychiatrist, Medicare will provide you a rebate of $141.85 (out of pocket expense is $108.15).

Payment is required at the time of your session and can be made via credit or debit card. If attending the clinic, an EFTPOS machine is available for payment. If your appointment is via Telehealth (online), an invoice is sent for payment via direct deposit.

  • I offer sessions on a twice-weekly, weekly, or fortnightly basis, and will offer you a regular ongoing appointment time that is reserved specifically for you on a long-term basis to ensure consistency in your treatment (e.g., a weekly session occurring on the same day at the same time each week).

As such, a cancellation fee equal to the session fee will be charged for cancellations or non-attendance with less than 48 hours notice.

Medicare rebates are not accessible for cancelled or missed sessions.
